[Big Hexyland] Another Test Shot

So far: ten new hexes and a coastline hex you can fit to any arrangement of neighboring hexes. Here it is taking shape on my work table:

With clutter for scale purposes only. Really.

  1. I bought the original Big Hexyland last year, and plan on buying part 2 this week. I love your art work and the unique style you have carved out for yourself. Without taking up too much of your time, what is your process for rendering the Hexylands? Based on the photo above, it looks like you do some of your initial work in traditional media.

    1. The maps are created entirely as vector images using Adobe Illustrator and a mouse. Those paints in the photo belong to my little gamer for painting her miniatures!

    2. LOL! That makes way more sense. When I saw the above pic I started to think you had some convoluted, mad genius method of painting the hexes, then scanning them in, then finally making vectors out of them. The sheer amount of time that would take would be crazy! Still, I love the idea that some people have gonzo methods of making this stuff.

      Keep up the great work!
